Each brand uses its own bending curve. Duotone uses constant curve masts. The most beach-standard mast is the SDM with a carbon percentage of 40%. The carbon percentage can have a lot of influence on your performance. The more carbon the lighter your soul feels and the better the performance of your sail will be. If you sail a sail smaller than a 5.0 or are freestyling / wavening, look for an RDM mast.

It is important to consider what sail you are using before buying a windsurfing mast. Are you planning wave or freestyle windsurfing? Then we recommend the RDM masts. Are you planning on freeriding, freeracing or slalom windsurfing? Then the SDM mast is the best option.
