The Hyperlite State is shaped to improve the wakeboarder's skills. Creating a shape to take boarders' skills to the next level, we discovered that creating a shorter but more effective edge on the toe side of the board accelerated learning wake-jumps. This is because there is less rail to initiate when applying pressure on the toe side. Once on the water, the smoother toe-side transition is held by the cast-in fin of the State's thinner profile , creating less drag. Subtle toe-side footbed risers have also been added to help the boarder create greater leverage when pressure is applied. The longer, more traditional heel edge compliments this asymmetrical design by promoting the boarder's natural posture. The State has been tested and proven to be the best choice for a boarder looking to master the basics of wakeboarding.
