Naish Gecko
Versatile Wave/Freeride
The Gecko is a brand new board dedicated entirely to strapless-only sailing. When designing the Gecko, we set out to create a strapless-only board, made for kiters who prefer a directional over a twintip, but mainly sail on flat water or in choppy conditions, such as Tarifa or Hood River.
The shape has a wide back, parallel outline and blunt nose for great lift and control for strapless airs. The straight rails and quad fin setup provide great pop and stability. The V-shape at the bottom ensures smooth riding in chop. A full rocker through the nose and tail, makes the Gecko a great choice for kiters not using footstraps in all conditions, from flat water to surf. The double bamboo sandwich construction, combined with the durafinish, makes for a light and strong board. If you are a dedicated strapless kiter, but don't have access to surfing, the Gecko is made for you!
