The high carbon content and quality of this mast ensure durability and a good reflex that will lighten the feel of any sail. The best compromise between performance and durability. The 'S' stands for sonic reflex. This means they have added an extra layer of carbon on the top of the mast. This will enhance the reflex on the upper part of the sail. The performance compared to the K100 is very minimal and can only be measured with a clock, it will not be felt. The use of the same high-quality construction ensures that this mast has superior performance compared to others in its class. The K-80 consists of 3 layers of carbon and 1 layer of glass.

When buying the right mast, you need to look at the specifications of the sail. Do you sail the brand with an SMD/RDM diameter? And what curve does the sail use.
Most users will use the standard (SDM) mast. If you are wave or freestyle, get an RDM mast. Also, masts are available in different carbon percentages. The higher the carbon percentage the lighter your sail set will feel and the better the performance will be.
