Point 7's K-87 is designed for windsurfers who don't want to compromise on performance, but want to go for a slightly more durable choice.

The high carbon content and quality of this mast ensure durability and a good reflex that will lighten the feel of any sail. The best compromise between performance and durability. The ''I'' stands for inverted ferrule, meaning that the end which is normally in the lower part of the mast to connect the mast is now at the top. This puts a lot less stress on the top of the mast and therefore makes it more durable. The performance compared to the K100 is very minimal and can only be measured with a clock, it will not be felt. The use of the same high-quality construction ensures that this mast has superior performance compared to others in its class.

When buying the right mast, you need to look at the specifications of the sail. Do you sail the brand with an SMD/RDM diameter? And what curve does the sail use.
Most users will use the standard (SDM) mast. If you are wave or freestyle, get an RDM mast. Also, masts are available in different carbon percentages. The higher the carbon percentage, the lighter your sail set will feel and the better the performance.
