Select Hotrod TU

Slalom / Race

The main objective was to develop a new speed fin that should be even easier to deploy than the Select Crossfire. Particularly in conditions where a widebase fin does well and a high aspect fin (for example the Crossfire) finds it difficult. So the best of both worlds.

The Hotrod outline and the profile are optimized from short to long for the purpose and the conditions. The Select Hotrod is suitable for anyone who wants to go fast, from starting speed surfer to pro. "Easy going" and "well behaved" are the starting points for this new speed van from Select. It has never been so easy to go really fast. This speed vin always delivers the performance that matches the conditions, whatever speed, water conditions and course you are sailing. The Select Hotrod combines the comfort of a widebase fin and the power and efficiency of a high aspect fin. The Select Hotrod has the unique properties of a widebase and high aspect fin, without making concessions to the basic models. Select can now also mill fins from unique material, this gives a few extra variables, which they gratefully used.

Features Select Hotrod TU

  • The size choice is much less critical than with high aspect fins
  • Clearly easier to sail “on” the fin than all tested fins of the same length
  • Extremely fast on a half-wind course and can handle the extreme power that is released with half-wind extremely well
  • Flying over the chop is clearly easier to control
