Main objective was to develop a new speed fin that had to be even easier to use than the Select Crossfire. Especially in conditions where a widebase fin does well and a high aspect fin (e.g. the Crossfire) struggles. The best of both worlds.

From short to long, the Hotrod outline and profile are optimised for the purpose and conditions. The Select Hotrod is suitable for everyone who wants to go hard, from novice speedsurfer to pro. 'Easy going' and 'well behaved' are the principles behind this new speed fin from Select. It has never been easier to go really hard. This speed fin always delivers the performance to match the conditions, whatever speed, water conditions and course you are sailing. The Select Hotrod combines the comfort of a widebase fin and the power and efficiency of a high aspect fin. The Select Hotrod incorporates the unique features of a widebase and high aspect fin, without compromising on the basic models. Select can now also mill fins from unique material, this gives a few extra variables, which they have gratefully taken advantage of.
