Naish kitesurfing and windsurfing
Good old Robby Naish was born on April 23, 1963 in La Jolla, San Diego, California. Robby Naish is one of the first top-wind surfers since the existence of windsurfing with a long-standing international reputation in it.
At a young age, the Naish family moved from California to Kailua on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. The father of Robby, Rick Naish was a contest surfer and surfboard shaper.
At the age of 11 the young Robby Naish started the new popular windsurfing sport and two years later he won his 1st World Cup title at the age of thirteen.
Since that time, Robby Naish has won everything in windsurfing what can be won. He became famous for his tabletops and forwardloops, among other things.
In the nineties kitesurfing developed in Hawaii. As an all-round sportsman on the water, Robby Naish also won some world titles in kitesurfing.
If you've ever been to Robby's homespot Maui, you'll understand what the surf and kite brand guarantees: durability! In the extreme conditions on Maui, surf gear must survive. Naish windsurf gear has been made to survive these conditions.
In addition to sustainability, everything is also geared to control. The circumstances are sometimes difficult, so therefore control over your surf gear is an absolute must. Robby Naish will always continue to pursue this filisophy, until he stops surfing himself.
Robby Naish was one of the first to understand on Maui that kitesurfing would be a big thing. For him it was a good reason to fully focus on the gear of Naish kitesurfing, because he had in mind to become one of the biggest kitesurf brands. Just like Naish windsurfing, he follows a steady course of durability. Also at Naish kitesurfing his backyard 'Maui' plays a major role in the entire R&D projects.
