DIFFERENT TYPES OF WAKEBOARDS

Within wakeboarding, we distinguish between different types of wakeboards. Each with its own purpose and properties makes for a great choice. Read more about the different types below.

CABLE BOARD

Cable board or a cable wakeboard. Don't have your own boat? Then wakeboarding behind the cable car might be something for you. These boards are sturdier than the other wakeboards, so you can tackle obstacles in the park.

BOAT BOARD

As the name boatboards says, you can 'wake up' behind the boat with these wakeboards. This is only possible in combination with wakeboard lines. You can recognize these boards by the often stiff design. In addition, the boat wakeboards have fins for extra stability and grip.

CROSSOVER BOARD

Do you find it difficult to make a choice? Then a crossover board may be the ideal middle ground for you. With this you can wakeboard behind the boat as well as in the park.

CHOOSE WAKEBOARD SIZE

The perfect size of your wakeboard depends on your height and weight. This is important because you need sufficient carrying capacity when you slide over the water. If you do not have sufficient bearing capacity, the boarding becomes heavy and you have a lot of resistance. Larger planks have more bearing capacity due to the larger surface area. DIFFERENT WAKEBOARD ROCKERS

The shape of the bottom of the wakeboard participates in the experience of sailing. For example, if you want a more explosive pop, you want to sail a different board than when you want to cruise behind the boat. There are therefore four different types of rockers to name.

CONTINUOUS ROCKER

This rocker has a curvature over the entire plank. This ensures that you can board softly and predictably.

3-STAGE ROCKER

This board has a flat center section with a curve at the tip and tail. This board is more aggressive to ride, giving you an explosive pop. This ensures the highest jumps.

HYBRID ROCKER

This board is a combination between a continuous rocker and a 3-stage rocker. This board combines the best of both worlds. You will not notice the aggressive properties of the 3-stage rocker here.

CAMBER ROCKER

This wakeboard is just a little different from the rest. Inspired by snowboards, you glide smoothly over the water. The Camber rocker has a bulge in the middle of the board so you can create a harder pop.
