Kinds of wave windsurf boards

There are different kinds of wave windsurf boards. Below we explain what the differences are, so you can make the right choice in your purchase!

Freewave windsurf board

A freewave windsurfboard is a combination of a wave- and freestyle board. A waveboard doesn't have the same shape as a freestyle windsurfboard. A freewave board has a special shape so that you can do tricks as well as wave windsurfing. A perfect board for the freestyle and wave surfer!

Quad wave windsurf board

A Quad waveboard is meant to be used in a skate-like style. You need another kind of windsurfing sail for optimal performance. On a Quad wave windsurfboard you use sails where the pressure point is higher and more to the back. The quad fin waveboards basically have a more radical image than the single thrusters. In addition, the scoop rocker line, rail and outline are much more influential on the final maneuverability. When choosing, the specific sailing style of a Quad wave windsurf board is especially something to consider.

Single Thruster wave windsurf board

Single Thruster waveboards are sailed more over the mast and forefeet. Also for the Single Thrusters you have to adjust your sail choice accordingly. The pressure point of these sails is very close to the mast. A Singe Thruster waveboard can be sailed in many fin-setups, this allows you to tune the windsurf board to your own preference.
