AK was founded by a passionate group of kiters along Cape Town's rugged coastline. The first products were developed in 2018 by Clinton Filen, Graham Wiles and others, along with a few additions in more recent years, such as Craig Tompkins. The AK team consists of all enthusiastic kite surfers, who want to ensure that everyone is on the water with fun and good material.
