What are the charasteristics of a freestyle / all-round kite?

Freestyle kitesurfing often involves very technical and complicated tricks in which the kiter rotates a lot and often unhooked. This means that the design of a freestyle kite looks very different from other kites. Characteristic are the following:

• The kite has a c-shape
• Steering feels direct and aggressive
• Gives a good pop
• Has slack (less tension on the lines)

What is the diffence between freeride and freestyle tricks?

It often happens that when making a trick people quickly think of a freestyle trick, but this does not always have to be the case. Making a backroll or jump, for example, still falls under freeride kitesurfing, while freestyle kitesurfing is a bit more complex. When freestyling, the focus is more on extreme and a lot, think of an S-Bend to blind or multiple handle passes. In freeriding, the focus is more on having fun and doing what you want. However, there is no specific rule of thumb for what constitutes a freeride or freestyle trick, which makes it difficult to give a concrete answer.
