5mm ladies wetsuits are available with different zips. We distinguish between surfing suits with a zip in the front (frontzip), back (backzip) and no zip (zipperless).

First of all, it's good to know that there is no right or wrong way to choose a zip, because this is completely personal. An advantage of frontzip 5mm ladies surfsuits is that little water gets in. However, you will have to make more effort when putting on and taking off the suit. The wetsuits with backzip on the other hand are easier to put on and often a bit cheaper. Finally we have a new kind, namely the zipperless ladies wetsuits. These are becoming more popular by the day due to their light weight and their comfortable and flexible features. Despite the fact that they don't have a zip, relatively little water penetrates inside.

A 5mm ladies wetsuit has stitched or glued seams. Most thicker wetsuits have glued seams, because this type of seam blocks out water and wind. This ensures that your body stays nice and warm during your surf session. Stitched seams are a simple way of stitching, but let water and wind in more easily. Neoprene layers in a 5mm ladies wetsuit 

The 5mm wetsuits are produced in different layers. One is fitted with double-lined neoprene and another with single-lined. The difference is in flexibility, fragility, warmth and weight. Double-lined neoprene wetsuits are very flexible and can take a beating. However, they are a lot less warm than the single-lined wetsuits. However, the surf suits with single-lined neoprene feel heavier and stiffer. So make up your mind what you prefer.
