Kite repair

It sometimes happens that your equipment gets damaged while kiting. This can happen, for example, because you crashed your kite hard on the water / land or getting your lines strangled in somebody else's lines. This may cause the kite to leak or tear. It is also possible that a kite gets older over time and as a result slowly deflates or  there is a small crack in it.

When a kite is leaking, it may be that there is a tear in the leading edge or in the valve. You will notice while sailing that the kite slowly deflates or that you can hear the kite hiss softly while inflating. If it concerns a small tear, you can repair it yourself. This can be repaired with, for example, Tear Aid, glue or valves from u-stick.

When the canvas of the kite is damaged, you will 'hopefully' see this immediately. You have to fix a tear in the kite cloth as soon as possible. Do not sail with it because it is possible that the crack will only get bigger. Therefore, immediately stick the cloth of the kite as soon as you see that it is broken. The cloth of the kite can be repaired with spinnaker tape. Spinnaker tape is strong and sturdy enough to restore your kite to the way it used to be. Is the tear too big to paste? Then it is always possible to send your kite to Telstar Surf and provide it with a professional kite repair. The resale price does drop as a result, so prevention is better than cure!

Kiteboard repair

Not only your kite, but also your kiteboard can be damaged. This could be due to sailing in shallow water or a fall.
There is a good chance that your kiteboard has got some scratches, it is not neat but it is also not the end of the world. When you have discovered the damage, you have the choice to repair it yourself or to hire a professional. Do you do this yourself; then we recommend that you work carefully with epoxy.

If you can't figure it out yourself, visit our store or contact us. We are happy to help you in the shop to get your kiteboard flying again!

Kite bar repair

The kitebar is one of the most important elements in kitesurfing. That is why it is always important to check your bar lines in time. The lines of the bar may be worn or outdated. Replace the lines in time so that they do not break during a kite session.
