Severne mast Blue-line

Severne has always been the quirky brand of the surfing world. They have changed tack when it comes to method and so too with their masts. Red masts are 100% carbon, Blue masts are 90% carbon and Yellow masts are 75% carbon.

Severne is known for its high quality/price ratio and this is reflected in the masts. As with any brand, the amount of carbon reduces the weight and stiffness of a mast. The more carbon the lighter and the faster your sail returns to its original state after a gust or freestyle trick, for example.

Severne's camber sails are recommended with an SDM mast, all wave/freestyle sails with an RDM mast. The choice between a red/blue/yellow line mast is entirely up to the customer. If you want to get the most out of your set, we obviously recommend the red line. If you are an average freerider who wants to cruise, you can safely take the Yellow line.

This SDM mast consists of 90% carbon, good for the ultimate windsurfing experience. The sail will feel slightly smoother than with a 100% carbon. The 90% carbon masts are also slightly stronger than the 100% and are therefore recommended for the wave surfers among us.
