The Ultra WOOd is a board that delivers fast off-the-top manoeuvres and smooth bottom turns, thrives in real wave conditions. The 'High Strength Sicomin Epoxy' together with the 0.6mm 'Australian Pinewood', combine to create a sandwich construction with stiffness and lower weight. The Ultra WOOd belongs among starboard's sustainable boards with a low carbon footprint. The shape of the board is optimal for a Thruster fin set-up, in combination with the Swallow Tail the Thruster provides good control on the waves and fast acceleration. The Radical Rocker with the large scoop shape towards the front, helps prevent nose dive and allows aggressive riding with the front foot. The rocker towards the back is very flat, which helps with planing and a good top speed.
