The Duotone DTE eMast AL Cruise Set is designed to make foiling more accessible, safe and versatile, especially for novice and recreational riders. At 80 cm in length, this mast is slightly shorter than the standard Foil Assist Mast AL, making it particularly suitable for those just starting out with electrically assisted foiling or sailing more frequently in waves, rippling water or light swell.

In the Duotone DTE eMast AL Cruise Set, the motor pod is positioned 15 cm above the fuselage, lowering the center of gravity slightly and giving the system a more stable feel. The mast retains all the features of the Foil Assist Mast AL, such as internally guided cables for smooth water flow, a stiff, surf-inspired shape for instant control and minimal drag. The result is a smooth, efficient and responsive foiling experience.

Safety comes first: the Duotone DTE eMast AL Cruise Set comes with an optional propeller guard that easily attaches to the motor with three screws. This additional protection is especially recommended for beginners, although the propeller should still be avoided during use. The use of the protective cover may slightly increase drag and thus slightly reduce battery life; this can be easily compensated for by using a larger foil or board.

The collapsible propeller blades open automatically when the motor is active and close as soon as you release the ring controller. This reduces drag while drifting and increases safety. Those who want more torque can replace the plastic propeller blades with stiffer aluminum versions (not included).

The Duotone DTE eMast AL Cruise Set is fully compatible with all components of the Foil Assist system, including cables, leash, motor, batteries, eHarness and remote control. The included fuselage adapter connector allows you to choose from ten different adapter options, including Duotone, F-One, Armstrong, Gong, Axis, Lift, North, Code, Sab, AFS and KT.

The mast can be mounted on virtually any board with standard US foil tracks. For optimal performance, Duotone recommends using a front wing of at least 900 cm² and a board with a volume of at least 35 liters. Beginners and schools benefit from a particularly stable setup when combined with the Midfish Air, where the battery box can also be placed on the back of the board instead of on the harness.

The batteries have an average run time of about 30 minutes, depending on weight, skill, speed, conditions and foil used. Although the range is smaller than that of a traditional eFoil, the system is much lighter, compact and compatible with existing boards and foils - ideal for flexible, innovative setups.
