This boom is made for experienced windsurfers who want to sail with the best gear on the market. The Platinum boom from Duotone is made entirely of carbon. This makes this boom incredibly stiff and durable. The boom is made in a monocoque form, this means that it is completely made out of one part so there is no need for bolts or rivets. This makes this boom even lighter. The Platinum SLS has an oval design which makes it super comfortable to hold and saves a lot of muscle power while sailing. The different sizes are made for different disciplines, the two smallest sizes are wave oriented booms, the middle size is a hybrid/freeride boom and the largest sizes are race oriented.
This boom is made in the SLS version. This stands for Strong-Light-Superior. Duotone wants to indicate that this boom is designed for maximum performance, maximum dynamics and that without compromise.
