Designed based on the valuable feedback on our 60cm Alu 3BS fuselage, Duotone now brings improvements in longer fuselages. The new 66cm and 74cm AL 3BS fuselages replace the previous carbon 68 and 78cm models. With the switch to aluminum construction, the cross-sectional area of the fuselages has been reduced, reducing drag and increasing strength, with only a slight 2.5% increase in weight. In addition, the AL 3BS fuselages feature convenient rear cutouts for improved hydrodynamics, as well as generous cutouts for the forward wing attachment to minimize weight. Although the new aluminum fuselages require a little more care and must be disassembled and washed with clean water after each use, these fuselages are improved in performance.
