The Gaastra Matrix 2026 is a high-performance no-cam freerace sail that combines the speed and efficiency of a racing sail with the light and simple feel of a camberless design. Aimed at windsurfers who want maximum performance without the complexity of cambers, the sail delivers effortless acceleration, stable control and high top speeds.

The redesigned continuous radial panel layout provides a natural distribution of forces through the radial orientation of the panels, with no cross seams. As a result, the profile remains more stable under pressure and the sail responds more fluidly to changing wind conditions. The race-inspired outline and high-tensile profile provide powerful, direct response and balanced pressure distribution throughout the sail shape.

With its 7-batten design, the Gaastra Matrix 2026 offers excellent profile stability and control, even at higher wind speeds. The integrated batting technology above the boom contributes to a tight, symmetrical sail surface that cuts efficiently through the wind. This makes the Matrix not only fast, but also surprisingly forgiving and versatile in use.
