This boom is made for experienced windsurfers who want to sail with the best gear on the market. The Platinum boom from Duotone is made entirely of carbon. This makes this boom incredibly stiff and durable. The boom is made in a monocoque shape, which means that it is completely made of one part so there are no more bolts or rivets involved. This makes this boom even lighter. The Platinum SLS has an oval design which makes it super comfortable to hold and saves a lot of muscle power when sailing. The different sizes are made for different disciplines, the two smallest are wave oriented booms, the middle size a hybrid/freeride boom and the largest sizes are race oriented.
This boom comes in the SLS version. This stands for Strong-Light-Superior. Duotone indicates that this boom is designed for maximum performance, maximum dynamics and that without compromise.
