Severne S-1 2024
Wave sail
Are you looking for a light wave sail to ride the waves? Then the S-1 from Severne is an ideal choice.
The S-1 is a manoeuvre-oriented wave sail that excels in waves from knee-high to as big as they go. With 4 slats, this sail is a smooth high performance wave sail. The new S-1 is based on exactly the same pattern as the S-1 Pro, but uses VX2 and eM4 materials to keep costs down, with only 150g extra weight (depending on size). GRADIENT PANEL TECHNOLOGY logically reduces weight, increases strength and controls stretch. Overall weight has been reduced, but the main improvement is the feel: the sail responds faster.
The jib length has been shortened on larger sizes (from 4.8) to reduce the aft hand pressure created when the wind increases. Instead, the force in the sail has been shifted upwards, giving more leverage for immediate acceleration in light winds.
