Starboard Rio Rhino
Entry level windsurf board
The Starboard Rio is the ideal windsurf board for families, beginners and surf schools. The board sails super easy and requires no experience, in addition, the Rio features a large volume which provides a stable platform.
The ideal board for making progression. Learn the basics in a playful way, from sailing back and forth to using the footstraps. The RIO series is available in three different construction, namely: Rhino, Rhino No Pad and Starlite. This board comes in the Rhino construction, making it super sturdy and durable. The only downside is the weight; compared to the Starlite construction, this board is on average two kilos heavier. So a super fun, educational and growing board!
When in doubt between the Starboard Start and Rio, it's good to remember that the RIO is slightly less stable but does board faster, so it's more focused on growing. The START is more suitable when you're looking for a super stable board and don't demand a lot of performance.
